微软今天发布了Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2c，不过只会用于OEM市场，其主要目的也是为了提供更多的产品密钥 。
【Windows XP Pro SP2c发布 仅供OEM】Windows XP Pro已经销售了将近六年之久，导致OEM密钥有所短缺，故此微软发布了这个最新版本，供系统集成商在该系统彻底退休之前使用 。Windows XP Pro定于2008年1月30日停止供应OEM和零售授权，2009年1月31日不再销售系统集成授权 。
Windows XP Pro SP2c已经送交生产厂商进行制作，9月份即会到达系统集成商手中，随后不久就会出现在品牌机用户面前 。系统集成商必须制作新的光盘镜像，同时提供新的密钥 。
此次更新仅针对Windows XP Professional(没有简体中文版、俄文版和韩文版)和Windows XP Professional N，其他版本则不受影响，包括Windows XP Home Edition、Windows XP Media Center Edition、Windows XP Tablet PC Edition、Windows XP Professional 64-bit Edition 。
